About us
I am a lawyer at the Cluj Bar since 2011, holder of the Kis Iulia Law Office, starting on January 13, 2013.
I graduated from the Faculty of Law, specializing in Community Law at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, and I also hold a Master’s degree in Human Rights from the same university.
Starting in 2015, I pursued doctoral studies at the University of Debrecen, Hungary, at the Marton Géza Doctoral School, specializing in law, with research focused on comparative analysis of remedies for violations of personality rights.
I have always had the desire to learn and improve in what I do. Since adolescence, I realized that I wanted to help people, and the legal profession seemed the best way to turn this desire into a career. Over the years, I have continuously honed my knowledge and skills, both through professional practice and by participating in specialized courses and training.
Our Rights Association
The Our Rights Association – Jogaink Egyesület brings together lawyers, jurists, and law students, aiming to promote human rights and provide free legal assistance.
The association’s goal was to contribute to the legal education of everyone, especially young Hungarians from Romania, helping them better understand their rights and responsibilities.
Founded in February 2014, our organization offers legal support through various initiatives, such as free consultations, workshops, and informational campaigns.
We organized several school visits where we discussed various legal topics with students, from the basics of human rights to everyday legal issues.

I have also chosen the legal profession because it best reflects my character, being a liberal profession that offers me the opportunity to come into direct contact with people who need help in solving legal problems and to help them in all this process.
I engage with seriousness and dedication in finding the most adequate legal solutions for my clients. Complex legal problems represent professional challenges, which are a motivation for me, to identify innovative solutions and to open new legal domains for us.
I offer legal counseling services in various fields of law for individuals and legal entities, assist clients in closing transactions, drafting various documents with legal character and assistance/representation of clients in court.
Besides Romanian, I can offer legal services in Hungarian or English as well.
Notable achievements and professional contributions
We have obtained numerous favorable solutions for our clients over the years. The greatest professional satisfaction came from cases where there was no clear case law in the field, which represented a professional challenge. Beyond the success in the client’s personal case, I was delighted by the solutions where we managed to change court practice, obtaining uniform interpretation of legal issues, such as decisions rendered by the High Court of Cassation and Justice.
Among the most memorable professional achievements are those in which we managed to obtain a preliminary ruling from the Court of Justice of the European Union, which ruled in favor of our clients — achievements that changed practice and jurisprudence both in Romania and across the European Union.
In case C-392/2021 it was established that employers are obliged to provide or reimburse corrective glasses for employees who work at computer screens, in accordance with European occupational health and safety standards. (Case details: euronews.ro, capital.ro, clujust.ro, observatornews.ro)
This decision creates a valuable precedent, strengthening the protection of workers’ rights across the entire European Union.
I have had the opportunity on multiple occasions to represent clients before the Court of Justice of the European Union, including pleading before the Grand Chamber in cases that may bring significant changes regarding the right to privacy, personal data protection, uniform interpretation of obligations of online platforms, and state liability in certain situations.
For us, each case represents an opportunity to bring real changes and contribute to improving legislation and achieving effective protection of individual rights.
I was a speaker at 32 conferences both in Romania and abroad.
I have given presentations and workshops at 64 legal events.
I participated in 34 legal projects in which I organized events, courses, conferences, legal competitions for high school students, and participated in legal research. I have also served as a jury member at various legal competitions for law faculty students.
I have published specialized articles and developed several Legal Guides for young people.

Szakács Simon Andrea
I am a collaborating lawyer at the law office since 2024 and a member of the Cluj Bar since 2021.
Before my university years, I was a student at the “Székely Mikó” National College in Sfântu Gheorghe. I then continued my studies at the Faculty of Law of “Petru Maior” University in Târgu Mureș, graduating in 2018.
I chose this career because I believe in justice and instinctively stand up for others.
I provide legal assistance and representation throughout the entire country.
In my professional activity, I prefer to maintain direct contact with clients, so I can get to know the person behind the legal issue I am dealing with. My goal is not limited to providing legal assistance; I strive to ensure that people understand the steps we take in their interest, always trying to create an effective collaboration with the client.
For me it is important that clients understand what we do for them, what each decision involves, and to understand the legal procedures they are subjected to.

I am a trainee lawyer at the law office and a member of the Cluj Bar since December 2025.
I am a recent graduate of legal studies and currently a trainee lawyer, with a solid theoretical foundation and a practical approach to professional activity. I am characterized by attention to detail, analytical thinking, and seriousness in my work. I am open to new challenges and committed to continuously developing my legal skills in a professional and demanding environment.
I graduated from the Faculty of Law at Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania in Cluj-Napoca and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Judicial Career at the same university. The experience gained through participation in national and international legal conferences — both as an opponent and a presenter — has strengthened my academic preparation and developed my applied legal analysis skills.
My competencies include analyzing legislation and case law, drafting contracts and procedural documents, managing client relationships, and using digital legal tools. I speak Romanian, Hungarian, and English, which allows me to provide legal services to a wide range of clients.
